Congratulations to both the year 8 boys and year 8 girls indoor athletic teams. We had a fantastic competition on Tuesday, which saw the boys come 1st place out of 8 schools and the girls 2nd.

This is in addition to our year 7 boys who also came 2nd in their competition last week. Unfortunately, our year 7 girls just missed out at 3rd as only the top two schools make it through.

Congratulations to our Year 8 Football Squad who have now made it to Round 7 of the ESFA Under 13 National Cup. This means that we are now down to the last 16 teams in the country! On Friday 23rd January the Year 8 football squad travelled to Thomas Estley Community School, South Leicester, to play in Round 6. A hard fought game against a very strong opposition saw the Year 8 team victorious by winning on penalties 4-3 after drawing the game 2-2 after extra time was played. The players all showed a high level of resilience and determination to come back from a losing position twice within the game and then belief and composure when taking the penalties. Two great saves by William Goodwin made the difference in the end and the journey continues with the next match being played away again in Shefford, Bedfordshire. Good luck to them all. ...
