Last week, our Year 9 students took part in an anti-racism workshop delivered by Show Racism the Red Card.
The workshop was highly engaging and informative, giving students the confidence to challenge racist comments, understand how to report them appropriately, and reflect on the importance of respect, inclusion, and standing up against discrimination. Our students participated thoughtfully throughout and represented the school brilliantly.
This work links closely to our partnership with Leeds Beckett University as we continue working towards achieving the Anti-Racist Schools Award.
We are incredibly proud of two of our Year 11 students who have successfully completed a two-year apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce. Throughout the programme, they have worked alongside Rolls-Royce colleagues and students from across Derby City, gaining valuable experience across many areas of the organisation while also working towards recognised qualifications. Their dedication, resilience and hard work have truly paid off, and they have developed a wide range of skills that will support them well into the future.
