I trained at Lees Brook as a student teacher and have now been here for 18 years. In that time I have had responsibility for ICT within English, have been Director of ICT, Director of English and was appointed as an Assistant Headteacher in 2005. As an Assistant Headteacher, I had responsibility for CPD and Teaching and Learning; during this time I was also the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator. For one year, I worked as a Teaching and Learning Consultant for the Local Authority delivering training to develop teaching in other schools within the city. Since 2010, I have been a Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Inclusion; this has included behaviour, safeguarding, attendance, Special Educational Needs and admissions. After being in an acting position for a year, I was appointed as Headteacher of Lees Brook Community School in February 2016.

I began my teaching career in 1997 at a secondary school in Derbyshire and have worked at Lees Brook Community School since 1998. Over the 18 years I have worked at Lees Brook Community School, I have had many responsibilities in addition to teaching. When Lees Brook became a Sports College in 2001 I was appointed as the Learning Director for PE & Dance. In 2008 I was appointed the Director of Standards for KS4 and a couple of years later I became an Assistant Headteacher with the responsibility for whole school standards and achievement. In 2015 I was appointed as the Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for standards, achievement and curriculum.

I am the Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Teaching and Learning. I am also the SLT link for Mathematics. I have worked at Lees Brook Community School since 2007. Previous roles include Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Numeracy across the curriculum and Learning Director for Mathematics. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a member of airline cabin crew.

I have worked at Lees Brook Community School since 2003. I have been Head of Year 7 for five years and I am an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Admissions and Primary School Transition. I am an ex-pupil of Lees Brook who has also worked in retail and legal services prior to teaching.

In 2008 I was appointed to the Leadership team and have held positions of responsibility including developing KS3 student progress and achievement, whole school Literacy and most recently, to lead on the achievement of Pupil Premium and Higher Attaining students across the school.

After completing an Engineering Degree at Warwick University I studied for a PGCE in Design and Technology at Brighton University. I then taught in Brighton and London before moving to be Head of Technology at Lees Brook Community School in 2003. I am now an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for PCE and Citizenship as well as being Head of Year Eleven. In-between my studies I have worked in the engineering and agriculture sectors; I also worked on a Development Project in Northern Nigeria for a year.

I began my teaching career in the year 2000 at another secondary school in Derby and have worked at Lees Brook Community School since 2004. Over the past 12 years, I have held numerous positions of responsibility, in addition to teaching English. In 2004, I was appointed as Deputy Learning Director in English and I later became the coordinator for Teaching and Learning.
My current responsibilities as part of the Extended Senior Leadership Team include: whole-school Literacy coordinator; NQT and new staff Induction tutor as well as teacher training coordinator.

I have worked at Lees Brook Community School since 2006. My initial role was as a teacher of Health and Social Care. I am a qualified midwife, and prior to coming to Lees Brook, I worked in senior Midwifery posts in my home country of Scotland and Derby. I am currently Director of the Skills Academy with responsibility for student pastoral care and the day to day running of the sixth form. In addition, I am the school's Deputy Safeguarding Lead.

Before becoming a teacher, I had worked for a multinational retail company for 5 years.

I have worked at Lees Brook Community School since 2013 where I have been apart of the Expressive Arts team, teaching Drama. I have now been appointed as the Head of Year 9. At previous schools I also taught Dance and Expressive Arts GCSE. Before becoming a teacher I was a Learning Support Assistant and Cover Supervisor in a secondary school. I have a keen interest in Musical Theatre and have helped develop our extra- curricular opportunities leading school musicals and other arts related clubs.

I have been teaching as an English teacher for seventeen years after completing a PGCE English at the University of Nottingham. Prior to arriving at Lees Brook Community School, I worked in several Secondary schools in Derby City and Derbyshire. During this time, I have held several positions of responsibility. I have worked as a Head of Year before in a Derbyshire school. Before becoming a teacher, I spent seven years working as a Registered General Nurse at Derby and Nottingham hospitals. Within school, I regularly run CPR courses for the British Heart Foundation as I am a qualified instructor.

I initially began as a Media Technician for the PE department in 2003 having completed an English and Media degree at university. I was inspired so much I left to do my teacher training and returned in 2005 as an English and Media teacher. Since then I have held numerous positions within the department and the school. For the last three years I have been Learning Director of English and Media. I am also part of the school’s extended leadership team with the responsibility for Whole School Rewards.

For the last three years I have been Deputy Learning Director for Humanities, responsible for Geography and KS3, and I have recently been appointed as Acting Learning Director. Before becoming a teacher I spent several years working as a Data Analyst in the Remote Sensing industry, primarily working in the field of Oil, Gas and Mineral exploitation.

I am the Deputy Learning Director for the post 16 provision and have been in post for 5 years. My career in education has spanned over 25 years and I have worked with a wide range of awarding bodies successfully implementing quality assurance systems; in previous positions I have experience of managing the hair and beauty curriculum in a large Further Education college. I am a fully qualified hairdresser and beauty therapist and prior to my career in education I worked in the hair and beauty sector for 10 years. The students I have taught have been successful in national competitions such as WorldSkills.
