The GCSE Business Course gives learners a more in-depth look into how business operates, covering everything from small, independent businesses to multinational corporations. The course will also cover a wide range of sectors and industries and will also take a look at the internal and external influences on business activities.
How is the course assessed?
The GCSE Business Studies course is assessed through 2 written examination papers, each worth 50% of the overall course grade. Each examination paper contains a total of 80 marks; however 15 marks are awarded on each examination paper using multiple choice style questions. The remaining 65 marks, in each examination paper, are based on evidencing knowledge through written responses, of which some are based around a given scenario in the examination paper.
Other Business qualifications may be offered that are equivalent to a GCSE and are a Level 2 qualification.
