The BTEC Business Course gives learners a more in-depth look into how businesses operate, covering everything from small independent businesses to multinational corporations. The course will also cover a wide range of sectors and industries and will also take a look at the internal and external influences on business 

activities.

How is the course assessed?

The assessment approach allows learners to receive feedback on their progress throughout the course as learners provide evidence towards set assessment criteria.

Evidence for assessment may be generated through a range of diverse activities including; assignment and project coursework, case studies, workplace assessment, role play and presentations.

25% of the qualification is externally assessed in an examination (Unit 2 - Finance for Business).

Learners are encouraged to take responsibility for their own learning and achievement, taking into account of the industry
standards for behaviour and performance.
