Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award

In our record breaking year with well over a hundred students participating the Award, all three expedition groups have now successfully completed their Assessed Expeditions. Students are expected to show an even greater level of independence from their practice expedition, by working in teams to plan their own expedition route, of approximately 12km per day. Leaders have been very impressed with the teamwork, resilience and problem solving skills students have developed throughout the experience.

There have also been some great success stories from other sections of the award including students volunteering in charity shops, helping in a community cafe, learning sign language and learning to play musical instruments, to name but a few. We are incredibly proud of each and every student who has completed their Award and look forward to celebrating their success at their Award Presentation evening in the new academic year.
